SUMMARY:Trio Caspar Gold Medal Tour
DESCRIPTION:2026 Fischoff Competition String Division Gold Medal Winner Trio Caspar returns to the Midwest for their Gold Medal Tour! \nTrio Caspar was awarded the Gold Medal\, Lift Every Voice Prize\, and Horszowski Trio Prize for Piano Ensemble at the 2026 Fischoff Competition in the Senior String Division\, as well as the Audience Award and 2nd Prize at the 2026 Yellow Springs Chamber Music Competition. \nThe ensemble is an innovative union of three individual voices. Founded in 2024 by clarinetist Andrea Caputo\, violinist Jason Moon\, and pianist Bogang Hwang\, Trio Caspar aims to bring a fresh perspective of the highest standard to chamber works that are less frequently performed. The name pays homage to the German painter Caspar David Friedrich\, whose exploration of the complexity of individualism inspires the trio’s distinctive sound. 2025-26 season highlights include a debut recital at the Colburn Conservatory and a performance of Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time alongside cellist Gary Hoffman. \nTrio Caspar is the first group to be named as the Colburn Conservatory’s inaugural Honors Chamber Music Ensemble\, and mentored by Colburn faculty members Jonathan Brown (Cuarteto Casals)\, Yehuda Gilad\, Fabio Bidini\, and Martin Beaver (Tokyo String Quartet). The ensemble has just recorded their debut album featuring works of Igor Stravinsky\, Paul Schoenfeld\, Libby Larsen and Robert Schumann\, which will be released on the Delos recording label in the 2026-27 season. \nWeb: www.triocaspar.com/\nInstagram: @triocaspar\nYouTube: @TrioCaspar \nLearn more about Fischoff’s Double Gold Tour. \nTOUR SCHEDULE:\n¹Free public performance\n²Ticketed public performance\n³Invitation only \nMonday\, October 5\nVarious educational outreach programs\, Mishawaka & South Bend\, IN³\nFischoff Chamber Music Academy Workshop¹ \nTuesday\, October 6\nVarious educational outreach programs\, St. Joseph\, MI³ \nWednesday\, October 7\, 12:15 PM (CST)\nDame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series\, Chicago\, IL¹\nBroadcast live on WFMT 98.7FM. \nThursday\, October 8\nBarrington White House Concert\, Barrington\, IL² \nFriday\, October 9\nVarious educational outreach programs\, Barrington\, IL³ \nSaturday\, October 10\, 7:30 PM (EST)\nRieth Recital Series\, Goshen College Music Center\, Goshen\, IN¹ \nSunday\, October 11\, 4:00 PM (EST)\nDeBartolo Performing Arts Center Presenting Artists Series²\nLaBar Family Recital Hall\, O’Neill Music Center\, University of Notre Dame\, Notre Dame\, IN \nMonday\, October 12\nVarious educational outreach programs\, Mishawaka & South Bend\, IN³
